In order to enrol in the Level 4 Diploma in Equine Sports Massage course offered by Animal Therapy Solutions, applicants must come with prior knowledge and a qualification in human body massage.
The L4 Diploma does not teach massage, rather it teaches students how to apply their knowledge and understanding of massage techniques to horses.
Any student who has such qualifications and is interested in undertaking the L4 diploma must first register their interest through this website. Your current qualifications and experience will be assessed to ensure they meet the entry criteria for the Level 4 ESM Diploma course.
Sports Massage Qualification
Although the L4 Equine Diploma is a sports massage qualification it is not necessary to have human sports therapy first. Applicants need only show that they have some manual therapy training. A human body massage course is acceptable and this may be at various levels.
It is however, recommended that the human course should be a Level 3 in order to allow graduates from the equine course to be able to work on the rider also.
