The Level 4 Diploma offered by Animal Therapy Solutions is accredited by The Animal Health Professions’ Register
What is the AHPR?
The Animal Health Professions’ Register is a voluntary register which has been developed by representative professional associations of the animal health industry at the request of DEFRA, in preparation for the restructuring of regulation of the veterinary industry – particularly of animal therapy practitioners.
The Animal Health Professions Register represents practitioners from the following subgroups:
• Animal Chiropractic and Manipulation
• Animal Hydrotherapy
• Animal / Veterinary Physiotherapy
• Animal Sports Therapy and Massage
What are the aims of the AHPR?
The aim of the AHPR is to raise standards in the industry and assist animal owners and veterinary surgeons in ensuring that the professionals they use to assist in the treatment and maintenance of their or client’s animals are suitably trained and accountable.
All registrants have achieved an industry recognised appropriate standard of training through externally accredited courses, comply with Continuing Professional Development and hold full, valid professional indemnity insurance as required by the wider industry.
The benefits of AHPR
The ATSL Level 4 Diploma in Equine Sports Massage is recognised by the AHPR as meeting the criteria and standards required for inclusion on the register. Registrants who have graduated from the L4 Dip ESM course are eligible to join the AHPR which confirms to the public, and other veterinary professionals, excellence in the registrant’s standards of professional practice and knowledge.
Veterinary professionals and the public can search the register to locate suitably qualified practitioners.
Animal Therapy Solutions are extremely proud to be accredited by AHPR.
