Animal Therapy Solutions offer a range of Equine therapy training courses from their base at Downe Farm in Devon. These courses are designed for people interested in horse therapies or looking to move up to a higher qualification.
Foundation Course in Equine Massage (Vet Physio Students)
Designed for students applying for veterinary physiotherapy degree courses, or graduates of veterinary physiotherapy courses wishing to consolidate their training, this 3-day course is intended to provide an intensive grounding in massage techniques, massage theory and application of massage to the horse.
Students will apply basic functional anatomy knowledge, and develop their palpation skills to enhance quality of touch to inform and improve the equine massage treatment.
The course runs full time for 3 days and include human massage practice to provide a sound foundation of massage skill before translation of massage practice to the horse.
Please note: Foundation courses are subject to registration of a minimum number of delegates before they will be confirmed to run.
Level 4 Upgrade
Suitable for students holding the ITEC Diploma in Equine Sports Massage, the Cert.T ESM or the OA Level 3 Diploma in Equine Sports Massage.
We are able to offer a course to upgrade these qualifications to the OA Level 4. The upgrade course will run in 2023 and 2024 only.
Individual CPD
Helen is very happy to put together a CPD day for therapists seeking very specific further training – pleas e get together a suitable student cohort (minimum 4 persons, even number where at all possible) and we will find a date that is mutually convenient to deliver the training you require.
